Pregnancy Update: Week 14

How far along? 14 weeks
Total weight gain:  122 per last doctor's visit

Maternity clothes?  Not currently wearing any, but some all of my pants are tight.

Stretch marks? None yet.

Sleep:  Sleeping great.  Minimum of 1 pee trip a night, but usually 3.

Best moment this week:   Construction on our house started.  This would also be considered the worst moment of the week.

Miss Anything?   Runny eggs.  I crave them like crazy.  Another mom told me I could have them if the eggs were pasteurized though, so I may try my luck.

Movement:  I thought I felt something the other night while laying in bed, but I think my body was just twitching.  It seemed too low to be the baby!

Food cravings:  Hooters (which I got!), runny eggs, and my mom's chili

Anything making you queasy or sick:  Still everything, just not as often.  I'm only having to take the Zofran like, once a day now!

Gender:  We still won't know until Oct 28th.  Still hoping for a boy.

Labor Signs:  None.

Symptoms:  Still nauseous.  Still tired.  Not super moody, but sometimes I'm just way more easily irritated.

Belly Button in or out?  In, praise the Lord.

Wedding rings on or off?  On.

Happy or Moody most of the time:  Neither.  I'm more "blah" most of the time.

Looking forward to:  Construction on our house being finished, but that's not for at least another month...so until then I'll be stressing out about it.

Pregnancy Update: Week 13

13 Weeks.  Feeling more fat than pregnant.

How far along? 13 weeks

Total weight gain:  It's hard to get a "pre-pregnancy weight" for me since my weight fluctuates regularly, but at my last visit I weighed 122.

Maternity clothes?  I own one pair of maternity pants that I've only worn once when I was more bloated than pregnant.  So far it's still my regular clothes with an occasional unbuttoned pant :)

Stretch marks?  None yet.
Sleep:  I'm still sleeping great, with the few get up to pee times a night.

Best moment this week:  So far, going to The Cheesecake Factory and Forever 21.
Miss AnythingNot being able to order the Seared Ahi Tuna at The Cheesecake Factory.  Ugh, that shit is legit.
Movement:  None yet.  Adam's mom says it will feel like butterflies, so I'm just kind of waiting.
Food cravings:  I haven't actually craved anything yet.

Anything making you queasy or sick:  Ugh, everything...although my morning sickness is slightly better.  It's changed from all-day sickness to nigh/early morning sickness.

Gender:  We find out October 28th!

Labor Signs:  No!
Symptoms:  Nausea and exhaustion, still.

Belly Button in or out?  In.  Oh my gosh I am terrified of when it pops out.

Wedding rings on or off?  On.
Happy or Moody most of the timeI'm not necessarily happy most of the time, but I'm not moody either.  (Adam would tell you otherwise).  I just feel too exhausted to have emotions.

Looking forward to:  Currently looking forward to a nap.

Guess who's having a baby?

The girl with a blog titled, Growing Baby Bart.  Guess that gave it away.  Oops!

My wonderful mother went with me to my first doctor's appointment.  I knew I was about 6 weeks and the doctor agreed, at first.  Then the ultrasound came, she found this tiny little blob of a thing with a heartbeat and said,

"Your baby is measuring larger than a normal 6 weeks, so we're going to bump your due date up, which would currently make you 7 weeks 3 days."

How a doctor can just change your due date based on how fast the baby has already grown kind of baffles me, but she's the expert, right?

So, we've known since July 18th that we were having a baby.  We told our immediate families within the next two weeks and our closest friends, but wanted to wait until it was "safer" to make the announcement on FaceBook.  So we waited, and waited, and waited.  I'm pretty sure my dad's head would have exploded if we had waited any longer.  He was dying to let people know!

This is what we came up with to make our grand reveal:

I had always known I wanted to include our dog, Lola in the announcement.  I mean, she is my furry, four-legged baby.  I had seen something similar on Pinterest and thought, we could do that without a professional photographer...so with my father-in-law's help and some photoshop, it was finished.

It feels a lot better having it out in the open and no longer a secret.  It's so hard to be careful about complaining about symptoms of pregnancy without revealing that you're pregnant!

I'm going to be updating this blog weekly with a little survey I found and photographs of my expanding belly and other things.  Don't get too excited, I'm not a photographer and all of my photos will come from my Galaxy S3 :)
